Welcoming people with disabilities

The Group wants its shopping centres, convention & exhibition centres and offices to be welcoming and accessible to everyone. The Welcome Attitude programme in Unibail-Rodamco shopping centres helps to ensure a high standard of service for customers with disabilities. For example, the Statio'Pass car parking system keeps disabled parking bays free for people who really need them. During renovation works, the Group aims to identify and correct any features that could interfere with the enjoyment of customers with physical and sensory disabilities.
In France, Unibail-Rodamco is building a close partnership with the UNAPEI, a charitable association that works on behalf of people with mental disabilities. During 2011, shopping centre staff will receive training in welcoming customers with mental disabilities and accommodating their needs.
The Group has also produced an e-brochure on its policies for employees with disabilities. The brochure highlights the spectrum of disabilities that can affect people during their working life. It encourages staff to declare any disabilities they might have so that their working conditions can be adapted accordingly.

Ensuring equal opportunities in the workplace

Unibail-Rodamco makes every effort to ensure equal opportunities in the workplace. For example, the Group does its best to ensure that there is no difference between the remuneration of men and women who do the same job and have similar responsibilities. During recruitment, candidates are asked to submit anonymous CVs to ensure that academic profile and proven achievements are the sole criteria for selection. The Group has a positive track record for gender and age diversity.

In France, Unibail-Rodamco is a signatory of the Diversity Charter and the Disability in the Workplace Charter. The Group aims to ensure that the standards set out in these agreements are respected in all of its regions.
